 Is It Permissible to Close the Eyes During Salah?

Is it permissible to keep our eyes closed during salah (prayer)?

Answer:

Keeping the eyes closed while performing salah is makruh (disliked)

While performing prayer; to shut the eyes, to raise the eyes up towards the sky or to look right-left and to look right and left by turning your neck is makruh (disliked)
However, it is not makruh to shut eyes in order to avoid something that is not permissible to see or due to being in the presence of Almighty Allah (swt) with a complete respect.
