Can I keep my eyes closed while performing salah?

Answer:

It is makruh (disliked) to keep eyes closed in salah

To shut the eyes, to look up to the sky, to look around or to turn the neck during salah is makruh. However, it is not makruh to shut the eyes to avoid something that is not permissible to see or due to the respect you feel standing before Allah swt.
