 I missed throwing pebbles, is my hajj valid?

I performed hajj this year , but I had to return home on the 12th of Dhul Hijjah. because of my health problems. So I could throw pebbles on 10th and 11th of Dhul Hijjah but missed 12th Dhul Hijjah pebbles. I want to know is my hajj valid?

Answer:

Referring to the explanations belove, we hope that your leaving Mina on the 12th of Dhul Hijjah does not cause your Hajj to lose its validity inshallah.

As stated in the 203th verse of surah al Baqara and explained in the interpretations, the person who departs Mina on the 12th day of Dhul Hijja, is not liable to stone the devil.

“Who hastens to depart Mina and go to Makka on the third day of eid (12th of Dhul Hijja), his liability to spend the night at Mina and to stone the devil is canceled.” (Islamic Jurisprudence According to the Four Sunni Scholars; Hajj and Umrah)

 “Remember Allah through the appointed days. Then whoso hasteneth (his departure) by two days, it is no sin for him, and whoso delayeth, it is no sin for him; that is for him who wardeth off (evil). Be careful of your duty to Allah, and know that unto Him ye will be gathered.” (Surah al Baqara, 203)

This verse is interpreted in the sharh of Tafseer al Jalalayn as following:

“The appointed days are the first three days of Eid ul Adha  that are the 11,12 and 13th days of Dhul Hijjah. On these days, the pilgrims remember Allah (recite Allah-u Akbar) and stone the devil at Mina. The “two days” mentioned in this ayah are the second and the third days of the eid (that are the 12 and 13th of Dhul Hijjah). And the expression in the ayah “delay” stands for the meaning “to delay stoning the devil until the fourth day of the eid.” (Sharh of Jalalayn)

It is also interpreted in Tafseer Ibn Abbas;

(Remember Allah) by saying: “Allah is great”, “there is no god except Allah” and “glory be to Allah”, (through the appointed days) during five days: the day of 'Arafah, the day of immolation and the three days after it. (Then whoso hasteneth (in departure)) to return to his family (by two days) after the day of immolation, (it is no sin for him) by this hastening, (and whoso delayeth) it to the third day, (it is no sin for him) by this delay; it is said that this means: there is no reproach on him because of this delay and he shall leave with his sins forgiven; (that is for him who wardeth off (evil)) He says: hastening departure is for him who avoids hunting until the third day. (Be careful of your duty to Allah) He says: fear Allah in taking what is hunted until the third day, (and know that unto Him ye will be gathered) after you die.
