 Is It Permissible to Remove or Fix or Plug the Eyebrows?

Is it permissible for women and men to fix,plug or remove the eyebrows?

Answer:

It is not permissible to plug or remove the eyebrows both for women and men

Narrated 'Abdullah:
“Allah has cursed those women who practise tattooing and those who get themselves tattooed, and those who remove their face hairs, and those who create a space between their teeth artificially to look beautiful, and such women as change the features created by Allah. Why then should I not curse those whom the Prophet has cursed? And that is in Allah's Book. i.e. His Saying: 'And what the Apostle gives you take it and what he forbids you abstain (from it).” (Bukhari, Book 7, Volume 72, Hadith 815)
Shaping the eyebrows by trimming, shaving or plucking their edges in order to appear beautiful, as is done by some women nowadays, is not permissible because it involves changing the creation of Allah and following the Satan in his tempting of mankind to change the creation of Allah.
Apart from this, it is permissible for women to trim or fix her eyebrows if they are grown because of an illness and hormonal disorder. Because as is known some hormone prescriptions have side-effects like these. But it is definitely haram to plug the eyebrows with the intention of looking like more beautiful. Because since the eyebrow is inborn it is like an organ of the body.
