How Should We Get up for Qiyam (Standing) from Sajdah (Prostration)?
Can we stand up with the help of our hands? What is the provision for
standing up from the Sajdah (prostration) to Qiyam?
Answer:
The provision for standing up from the Sajdah (prostration) to Qiyam isas the following:
First of all, while raising yourself for Qiyam from Sajdah, you shouldmove your head first from Sajdah and then the hands and then the kneesfrom the floor where you do Sajdah (prostration). These are all thesunnah of the salah.
Observing not the sunnah movements but doing suchmovements as the knees before moving the hands or bending yourself whilestanding up like doing ruku or putting hands on the floor in order tohelp it to raise for the Qiyam though he/she doesn’t need that iscounted as makruh (disliked). (Durr-iSanjida Islamic Fiqh Book)
It is like doing another ruku to bend forward thus is makruh (disliked). What is preferred while standing for Qiyam from Sajdah is to move theknees up first, then standing up erect to Qiyam by not bending the back.
