Does Free-will Effect Death?

How much is the effect of human will on death? What is the share of destiny on our death time?

“Because Allah will never delay a soul when its time comes. And Allah is acquainted with what you do.” (Al-Munafiqoon, 11)
It is clearly understood from the ayah that death time (Ajal- أجل) is not related to human’s free will or precaution but to destiny (pre-destination).
